200W and 350W value-added DC-DC Power Supplies (VADS)

TDK-Lambda releases a new range of value-added dc-dc power supplies with models rated at 200W and 350W that designed to meet the latest ISA12.12.01 (UL1604) Class 1, Div 2 standards. The VADS200S48-24, VADS350S48-28 and VADS350S24-28 series feature relay type fault alarm to cater for oil & gas industry, reverse input protection, built-in Oring diode and operate from a wide dc input range of 20 to 36Vdc or 37 to 76 Vdc. Available output voltages include 24V (output voltage range -40 to +10 %) and 28V (output voltage range -40 to +18 %).

The renowned PAH series power module is used for the design of the VADS series power supplies. The user will enjoy the best of both world from the VADS power supplies that work as an easy-to-use standard unit type but come with the power module unique specification like high operating temperature rating and high reliability standard.

These dc-dc power supplies are packed in a compact and lightweight enclosure measuring 120 mm (width) x 190 mm (length) x  61 mm (height) and forced air cool. The operating temperature range is -20 to +70°C with load derated from +40°C to +70°C (70 % load). All models are fully isolated (1.5 kVac, input to output/FG) and the efficiency of the power supplies can be as high as 84 %.
 
These units include over voltage, over current and over temperature protections with added features like remote sensing and remote on/off.

In addition, these series include UL/IEC60950-1and CE international safety agency certifications (pending) and meet EN55022-A and FCC Class A conducted and radiated EMI standards. These 200W and 350W supplies are ideal for powering instrumentation, industrial devices and a wide range of other general purpose and oil & gas applications.

The VADS power supplies series are available from March 2010 onward.
