Nemic-Lambda India Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of NEMIC LAMBDA INDIA Branch office at Bangalore, Pune and Noida was inaugurated on Thursday, 27th March, 2008.

It was an auspicious day and the morning began with good prayers and blessing by the Hindu Priest who performed the ‘Ganapathi Homa’ (fire ritual) through the Lord Ganesha (elephant faced God) at 09:00 a.m at NL-India Office in Bangalore. It is believed that Lord Ganesha helps to remove all obstacles and will ensure goals are attained without any hindrance. During the procession of the ‘Ganapathi Homa’ the Priest chanted mantras and offered kumkum – vermillion (red colored powder), vibuthi (sacred ash), rakshai (ash from the fire) darba rakshai (ash of the darba grass) and holy water used in the ‘Homa’ to the VIP (Mr Sakashita & Mr Iwabuchi), NLS visited members as well as NL-India staff at the end of the praying ceremony.

(Note: Mr B.R. Ganesh, who provides Management Consultancy Services to NL-India, participated in the ‘Ganapathi Homa’ praying ceremony).

The ‘Ganapathi Homa’ lasted for an hour before members proceeded to visit the temple of ISKON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) where the Akshya Patra Foundation was set up.

At the ISKON Temple, we were greeted by the Temple Priest and ushered to a meeting room. We were briefed about the activities of the Akshya Patra Foundation which is a charitable trust at Bangalore where the education was provided for the underprivileged children through wholesome meals in the government schools. The foundation established its Meal Program which aims to cover one million children by 2010. The activities were video presented and we were glad that our donation of USD5,000/- towards the foundation would be utilized appropriately for the needy.

The donation of USD5,000 towards the Ramakrishna Math, a charitable organization which provides free hospital to the poor and needy patients was also part of our Agenda of our event. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit the hospital due to time constraint of our busy schedule for the day.

The Opening ceremony of Nemic-Lambda India started at 6:30 pm at the Hotel Royal Orchid with a prayer song by Ms Archana Ganesh offering to remove obstacles.

Lamp lighting ceremony was held and it was lighted up by our NLS Senior Management team members, Mr Iwabuchi, Mr Jefrrey Tan and Mr Anthony Lau, and our invited VIP guest - DLKK representative, Mr Sakashita (Director & VP of DLKK). It was an important part of the inauguration that witnessed by all presence in the Opening ceremony.

Thereafter, members were invited to address the opening ceremony, namely Mr Anthony Lau, Mr Iwabuchi and Mr Sakashita.

Donations were presented to the respective Priest, Representative from the Charitable Organization, The Akshya Patra Foundation and Ramakrishna Math. Both Priests expressed their heartfelt appreciation towards our donation and also extended their well wishes for Nemic-Lambda operation in India.

We were glad that 65 guests (incl customers) attended our Opening ceremony. Buffet dinner and drinks were provided to the guests and the memorable evening ended at 10:00 p.m.

Overall, it was a well blessed and successful opening ceremony for Nemic-Lambda India Branch office. We look forward to our positive future growth in the emerging and fast growing economy of India as well as our further expansion and developments in the Middle East market.
